So, in my last attempts to ensure I've covered all my bases, I call the Ecuadorian consulate today to ensure that the documents the park has issued to me are sufficient for my stay. Little had I expected the blind-side I recieved from the man at the consulate who tells me "You have to have a volunteer visa, and those are only issued for a minimum of 6 months, and since you are only staying four months, you cannot have that one... and so you cannot go to Ecuador." Holy f*ck..... Needless to say I was bewildered, b/c the park had assured me that all I would need are the documents they sent me. And so off I go to call the park, and indeed, they tell me that all I need to stay in the park is the documents they have sent me. Which brings me back to my original question.... to visa, or not to visa?
Hell with it... I'll wing it.
